At the invitation of Prof. Chen Jun, ISPRS Congress Director and President of National Geomatics Center of China (NGCC), Dr. Juergen Dold, Senior Vice President, Leica Geosystems, and Mr. Du Bin, Executive President, Leica Geosystems Greater China region, visited NGCC on 27 June 2007 for discussions about cooperation on ISPRS 2008 Beijing. Prof Chen expressed his appreciation for Leica Geosystems’ long-term support to the development of photogrammetry and remote sensing industry of China and sponsorship for ISPRS 2008 Beijing. He introduced the status of the Congress preparations and in particular the scientific program. Dr. Juergen Dold, pledging that Leica Geosystems as the Exclusive Platinum Sponsor of the Congress would spare no effort to make contributions to the success of the Congress, responded that Leica Geosystems would, as Prof. Chen suggested, make a proposal on how to participate in the scientific activities soon after.
