Mr. SONG Chaozhi, Deputy Director General of State Burearu of Surveying and Mapping (SBSM), Executive Vice Chairman of National Steering Committee for ISPRS 2008 Beijing visited Leica Geosystems AG at Heerbrugg, Switzerland on 25-29 July 2005. On 26 July, accompanied by Mr. WANG Qian, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of SBSM, Chairman, Local Organizing Committee for ISPRS 2008 Beijing, Mr. Song signed a MOU on sponsorship for ISPRS 2008 Beijing, with the representative of Leica Geosystems Mr. Clement Woon, Division President S & E Division. According to the MOU, Leica Geosystems became the top sponsor (the plantium Sponsor) for ISPRS 2008 Beijing. Mr. George Kiu, Vice President of Business Development China, Leica Geosystems attended the signing ceremony.
