The Local Organizing Committee for ISPRS 2008 Beijing Congress is pleased to announce that a limited number of travel grants will be available to provide financial support for deserving attendees from developing countries.
Applicants for travel grants should complete the application form and should:
1. reside in developing countries and/or emerging markets
2. have no or insufficient funds from other sources to support their participation
3. present a paper or a poster at the event, or be the national representative at the General Assembly
4. include a letter of acceptance of a paper (if appropriate) from the Congress Organizing Committee
Due to the large number of requests and the limited funds available, partial funding may only be available. To support as many applicants as possible, those individuals requesting a minimum amount of support and/or with evidence of support from their organization will receive higher priority.
ISPRS Student Consortium Coordinators may have the opportunity to obtain financial support from the ISPRS Congress if he/she is from a developing country and will present a paper at the Congress.
Each applicant must specify financial assistance required, by completing the application form and returning this information to the Congress Secretariat no later than 29 February 2008.
Written notification of whether you will receive financial assistance, and the amount, will be sent by the Congress Secretariat by 1 April 2008.
Financial grants will be given in cash at the ISPRS Congress. No payments will be made prior to your attending the Congress. This means that all necessary costs to attend the Congress must be paid by you in advance of your attendance, and you will receive your payment at the Congress.
