The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) is a non-governmental organization devoted to the development of international cooperation for the advancement of knowledge, research, development, education and training in the photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences, their integration and applications, to contribute to the well-being of humanity and the sustainability of the environment. The ISPRS membership comprises national organizations and professional societies representing over 100 nations and regions covering all the continents. ISPRS congress is held quadrennially, which comprises scientific programs and a technical exhibition.

ISPRS 2008 Beijing with the theme ¡° Silk Road for Information from Imagery ¡± , to be held from 3-11 July, 2008 in Beijing, is the 21st Congress of ISPRS, first ever held in China. As an important part of the congress, the technical exhibition will be held from 7-10 July, 2008 at the congress venue. It will provide an opportunity to display the latest products and technology, inventions and research developments in the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing and geo-spatial information. The exhibition will be open to all congress participants and the public.

It is worth while to mention that ISPRS 2008 Beijing and its Technical Exhibition will take place just one month before 2008 Beijing Olympic Games when the city will become the focus of world attention. In 2008, you will meet the world if you come to Beijing!
