The volume contains 34 overview/review papers authored by 68 active researchers in ISPRS. It describes the major achievements and looks to future developments in different fields in all eight technical commissions of ISPRS. The emphasis is on the substantial developments since the Istanbul Congress.
Apart from the shorter Parts I and VI, the technical chapters have been grouped naturally into four parts, i.e. data acquisition (sensors, platform and systems), (b) processing and analysis (methods and algorithms) of image data, (c) modelling and representation of spatial data which are more related spatial information sciences, and (d) image-based applications (photogrammetriy and remote sensing). This book provides updated useful information for researchers, students, as well as practitioners.
This volume has a total of 500 pages plus 32 pages of colours. It forms part of the ISPRS book series and is thus published by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group).
