The National Liaison Committee for ISPRS 2008 Beijing was established on 11 October 2007 in Beijing. The Committee, chaired by ISPRS Congress Director Prof. Chen Jun, is composed of more than 40 representatives from related Chinese government agencies, academic and educational organizations, public institutions and some sponsoring enterprises. The Committee's functions are: to mobilize as many as possible Chinese professionals in the community of photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences to participate in the Congress; to provide assistance in preparation and organization of the Congress; and to disseminate the Congress information and gather Congress-related comments and suggestions.
