On the occasion of the ISPRS Council Meeting and Joint Meeting with Technical Commission Presidents held on 20-24 August 2007 in Beijing, Prof. Alain Baudoin, President of ISPRS Commission I, Prof. Wolfgang Foerstner, President of ISPRS Commission III, Prof. Shailesh Nayak President of ISPRS Commission IV, and Prof. J. L. van Genderen, President of ISPRS Commission VII, visited National Geomatics Center of China (NGCC) on 24 August 2007. The technical staff of NGCC introduced the 1:50,000 scale Geographic Database Development and Updating Project and the Aerial Photography Information System to the visiting ISPRS Commission Presidents. Experience and information were exchanged and discussions made in image acquisition and processing and other related areas between the two parties.
