| ISPRS Seminar "From Imagery to Information" held in Beijing |

An ISPRS Seminar "From Imagery to Information" took place at Beijing International Convention Center on 22 August 2007. The Seminar was jointly organized by ISPRS Working Group IV/1, Chinese Society for Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, China Association for Geographic Information System, China National Committee for Remote Sensing and the Youth Commission of Beijing Surveying and Mapping Society. Six of the ISPRS Technical Commission Presidents were invited to give presentations at the Seminar.
Before the technical presentations started, Prof. Chen Jun, ISPRS Congress Director and President of National Geomatics Center of China, introduced each speaker to the attendees; and Prof. Ian Dowman, President of ISPRS, gave an introduction of ISPRS. The six technical presentations were as follows:

The Seminar attracted around 150 scholars, engineers and students from 20 academic organizations, universities and enterprises in the fields of photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. |
